How does link click tracking work?

When a you insert a link in the body of your email, the link will be replaced with a Vocus.io link tracker. That way, when your recipient clicks on the link, their request will first go to Vocus.io and then (quickly) to the destination you originally specified. That's how Vocus.io knows when a link was clicked.
